Experience Easton

Here our some more pictures of our third little man.  Bradley and Gavin are both fascinated with him and we are so glad to be back home from the hospital.  Easton is a really calm baby with a little puppy dog raspy whimper when he cries.  Its really cute.  We are still working on the night thing.  He loves to be warm next to me at night instead of in his bassinet but I don’t really sleep great like that.  These are all still pictures from the hospital.  You would think being in the hospital for 2 days after instead of 1 would have given me time to update but you can never sleep at the hospital and every time I tried to get the computer out I was needed or Easton needed me.  So here he is. These are from when he was born to a few hours after he was born Mimi and Bradley came to meet him.   Thank you everyone else who came to visit us in the hospital and meet him too!

I love Bradley’s face in this one.  Gavin stayed at home while Liz watched him.  I didn’t want to have that “experience” yet of them meeting! Later at home Gavin squealed a big squeal of excitement when he saw him but we have to keep those two apart for a while.  He would be Gavin’s little toy if we didn’t.

Easton is on his way!

The time is finally here! Baby Easton is on his way. This is Liz, your guest blogger, and I will do my best to update will the baby happenings. Just as quickly as Brad texts them to me. ;)

Around noon today, Emily and Brad's Mom were shopping in Southern Pines. As she was walking out of the store, she felt her water break. Pretty soon, she felt the gush! They quickly raced home and got ready to go to the hospital.

12:50- Brad text to say that they were on their way to the hospital. Jo Beth said that her contractions started as soon as her water broke. About 5 minutes apart and lasting about 2 minutes.

2:20- Already 6 cm dilated.

2:25- 9 cm.... and on the move. We are going to have this baby in no time!

Christmas & Bradley

This year the excitement of Christmas and all it means has definitely captured Bradley’s attention.  Bradley, Mimi and I met up with Liz and Pia for a Painting with Santa afternoon at the pottery place.  At first he didn't want to go see Santa so we were trying to persuade him with every magical thing in the book.  Then he fell asleep on the short drive there so woke up fussy.  To our surprise he was mesmerized with Santa, although he kept it very cool, since he is a “cool” boy now! I just cant get enough of his face in all the pictures.  He was wearing a Motorcycle shirt because he is in this phase of wanting to wear just casual cool clothes and never wants to wear anything “handsome” he says.  AKA…a collared nice shirt.  Here are the pictures of our afternoon that I felt was so perfect for him!

Then after they painted Bradley and Pia were really the only kids having so much fun waiting in line for their turn to hop on Santa’s lap.

Bradley told Santa that he wanted a “Batman with a Vroom-Vroom” which I am sure Santa will come through for him ;)

Some more MAGIC of Christmas happened at the Pinehurst hotel, the Carolina, where Liz took pictures of the kids together.

We also drove around to see Christmas lights one night and it was so funny because no one is in the Christmas spirit so we were joking saying “Bradley…look to your right and don't blink!” He later said seriously after we were on our way home “When our we going to get to see all the lights?” and we already had! This town needs a candy cane lane or something of that sort.

Also, since I know everyone wants a **BABY UPDATE** I decided not to get induced today and scheduled it for Sunday instead, the 19th.  I had to do a stress test and ultrasound today at the doctors office to make sure it was medically OK for me to have longer to try to go into labor on my own.  I wanted to buy myself and the baby a little more time to see if it could happen naturally and if not I will have more of a “peace of mind” being induced Sunday.  I also have to go to the doctors to check the baby again Friday to make sure he is still OK.  The hope is to go into labor on my own before Sunday though! Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and prayers for our family and for our little baby soon to be born!

Mimi Visits

This last Sunday Mimi came to watch the boys for us whenever I go into labor.   Mimi and Dunka are moving from California to DC after Christmas so Mimi just came early! We have been doing a lot of shopping for Christmas (but that hasn't put me in labor yet) and a lot of baking for Christmas (the overeating and indulging hasn't helped either) but most of all Mimi has just been enjoying her grandsons and all this frigid weather!

Gavin just runs around and finds his own fun!

002

This was the best fun.  Last night Bradley and Mimi were making a large batch of Oatmeal Raisin and the Oats spilled.  We found Gavin belly dive and lick the oats right off the floor.  He also begs for food at the table so we call him our little Puppy!

When I was taking pictures of him he came up and put flour handprints on my legs!  These are the little handprints they say you never want to forget!

018

So enough of these sweet cookie oat faces.  Lets meet the next one already! I am certainly past ready and I bet you all are too! I am trying to go naturally on my own and I have once again really been tested with patience.  If nothing before than I have a doctors appointment on Monday afternoon to get an update and I am assuming to discuss my options.  I hope it wont come to OPTIONS though!
