Photobombed!

Lately we have just been staying busy with school and work.  When you do that you know what comes next.  Letting off some steam….making time to play……reconnecting as a family and chilling with friends.

001

Good thing Aunt Britty and Uncle Ry sent the boys these totally rock star stealth laser tag guns to help with some playing.  Daddy even loves to join in on the fun.  They hide behind anything and put their built in shields on that are on the gun.  Once they are hit 10 or 25 times depending on what it is set to then the gun shuts down.  A computerized women says  “game over, you lost!” The boys love them because of all the lights and sounds and of course it is a way Bradley can identify if he won or not over Gavin or Daddy.  Were not in the competitive phase or anything…yeah right!

Easton helping Daddy unpack.  I think we want him to stay a while!

006

Aunt Tab reading them books.  Good thing someone does!

 007

Bradley took this of Gavin.  He caught a moment.

010

This is today.  Wow.  I am updating on the day.  It happens from time to time.  Sophia came over after school and they had a movie date to watch Ice Age and eat popcorn together.  I’m sorry but this makes me fast forward to high school when Brad couldn’t drive and we were dating and his mom ( Mimi) use to pick me up and bring me over for movies on the couch dates.  They almost look like little teenagers here.  Sophia has a big pillow under her so she isn’t really a giant compared to Bradley who is sunk down some too.

 013 018

The rest are from today too.  The boys running around after nap time.  Gavin is mid blissful screaming and Easton is well….mid giraffe?! He must have been hungry.

020 021

Today got even better! I was in my room and Bradley ran in and said “Mom, you won’t believe what Gavin did!” That statement normally freaks me out and had me jumping right up like it usually does.  I found this.  He had taken every large, medium and small pillow he could get his hands on.  Threw them down the flight of stairs to make himself a landing pile.

026

He got Air! And a naked hiney! Hehe!

029

Saving the best for last.  My four Hero’s! They are the wind beneath my wings!

 034 036

The boys all wanted to play superhero with Daddy tonight so that is exactly what he did! You don’t have to ask this guy twice to play with his boys.

These four Hero’s and I would like to give one last shout out for the day to a very deserving MIMI.  Happy BIRTHDAY Mimi/Momma! We love you! xoxox

A Best Friend’s Birthday & One Night with Grammy

Sophia is 5!! Bradley and his girl headed off to Marbles museum on Friday compliments of the birthday girls parents.  Bradley had so much fun I heard and he was thankful to be a part of her birthday trip.

Playing Veterinarian.  Life size stuffed animals are always a hit with kids.

They ran into their friends Ava and Graham.

Whipping up a kitchen creation.  Bradley must be the sue chef judging by whose wearing the hat ;) and I’m sure he is making foods he does not even eat.

That was their fun filled Friday.  On Saturday morning we were supposed to head to Charlotte to my bro’s house.  We had to cancel because I wanted to keep Easton in an easier environment in case he had an explosion.  He had what looked like a stomach bug.  He is better now, Thank God, and that none of us got it after! I am happy to say that events resumed without us and Jackson responded to the alter call and made a public proclamation of his faith at 9 years old! He asked Jesus into his heart and is now lined up to be baptized sometime this spring which we plan to make it out to see.

On Sunday my mom came to our house after she was at church in Charlotte with Jackson.  We headed straight over to see our birthday girl blow out her candles! Bradley is in the corner fingers gripping the counter like he doesn’t know how this plays out?  Or how many blows is it going to take her?  Come on just one more….. too funny!

When we got back to the house Grammy gave Bradley his birthday gift.  Ice Age Dinosaurs movie! He loves the characters in ICE AGE.  He cracks up at them and quotes them all the time.  He also has not lost his thrill for dinosaurs.  He loves them.

Movie/Popcorn night on the couch with Grammy.  There was one catch! We don’t have a 3D TV.  We took the glasses off and watched the whole thing a little blurry.  Later we realized it came with the non 3D version in the case too.  DUH!

017

Bradley went to school Monday morning and Grammy had to go back home.  When Bradley got home from school he was sad Grammy was gone and said “I wish she could have stayed for more than one night!” but he gave Easton love instead.

020

Coming around the corner and making him giggle!

 092

Our Tiger who actually has underwear on at the moment.  I started being a tiger with him one day and now he asks for it saying “Tiger me mommy?” meaning be a tiger mommy and get me!

094

Last but certainly a highlight of my day.  This morning I caught Gavin naked with a lollipop he helped himself to and he was jumping off our bed onto kid table placemats shouting “extendo!”

** He’s not peeing here**

095

Then he decided to let himself fall backwards on the bed and he was cracking up.

096

He is so sticky and dirty all the time.  No matter how much I clean this kid he finds a way to make a mess of himself.

 097

A mess is what he is.  There really is no explaining this one as I have said before!

098

Daddy is out of town this week in Louisiana for his first week with his new job.  He will travel wherever to be an instructor.  I wont even try to explain or I would butcher it.  Right Babe? It is all stuff he was certified in when he was a PJ.  All part of what makes them bad ass and be able to rescue people.  The boys miss him and can’t wait to have him home.  We have been fortunate to have him home with us on a regular basis this year so the traveling again will take some getting used to all over.

Our Week after Vacation

We have been having fun indoors mostly this week.  Once we got back home Daddy and the boys fell right back into horsing around together.  They were both excited to show Daddy their new cap guns and cowboy gear.

012

Gavin screams and gets so excited to play “ball.”

017

Playing catch with a squishy ball inside.

016

Bradley has always been so tough.  He actually asks Brad to throw the balls or pillows at him and he thinks it is funny.

008

Easton has had so much fun playing that I found him rolled over and napping in his seat.  This boy smiles 95% of the time!

011

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I watched Pia and Chase.  Chase is really excited to be walking so here he is showing me his skills.

020

When Brad gets back from class and the babies are sleeping I have been taking Bradley and Pia to the park.  It has been so hot that 1 hour is about all we can handle.

Gavin is still a character all the time.  He loves hats.

023 024

Since we have been home he also found a new trick.  He has always been a jumper and daring but he finally got over “the ledge” fear.  He now jumps off the coffee table.  He does it as his own little sport now.  I think he gives himself points for landing on his feet.  I have thought about battling the coffee table situation but this is one I am willing to lose.  It is solid wood and it is low to the ground and they have made it their stage so they always shine so how could I take that away.

Easton also has a new trick since we have been home.  He is getting on his hands and knees trying to crawl.  He rocks back and forth and then gets on his feet and pushes off to scoot.  He has made it all the way across the house so we now have three mobile boys on the loose!

   (Bradley @ 7 months)                  ( Easton @ 7 months)

I put Easton in this 9-12 month Gymboree outfit today that has always been one of my favorite little rompers.  Daddy keeps the air conditioning cold so we don’t mind wearing our longer things indoors.  I had to compare these two since E reminds me of B as a baby very often :)

   031

Yesterday when I realized I could do this to Gavin’s hair and he looked like me when I was almost 2.  We decided to go get him his first in salon haircut.  The lady tried to show me what a Justin Bieber style looked like.  Although he looks so cute I knew Daddy would flip a lid and Gavin doesn't let me comb his hair without screaming so I wasn't going to attempt to style it.  In later pictures you will see how his hair actually looks and unfortunately his curls are gone.  It is a little wavy like Bradley’s, but the ringlets are gone! I hope they grow back a little before his next haircut.

That has been our week in pictures.  On another note for those of you who know Bradley is a very picky eater we have been cracking down and he is doing so good.  He no longer throws his food up when it is a new thing to try.  He has eaten chicken, turkey, hotdogs, spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, pizza, mac & cheese and we are still moving along.  He had pretty much not eaten meat or vegetables since out of the can when he was a baby and he didn’t like any kid friendly food that you normally see at parties.

He also still knows how to manipulate and make mommy forget about him being bad.  I was writing my grocery list and he was being whiny for something that I told him he couldn’t have.  He said “Well, I have been good!” and I said “Actually you haven’t been good this afternoon.”  He paused and then said “Mom, can you help me draw a heart?  A heart of God’s love!”  I smiled and he laughed.  He knows exactly what to say that one!

Who knows what next week will bring!
