My Normal Random

Bradley's Saying "Mooooo"
I just love this face! He is such a happy baby!

The new dirtbike helmet! At three years old, I cant believe it either!

I love the "gum" smiles!

I just broke out the exersaucer this week too!
He loves it in moderation just like everything else.

Baby Food and he likes to eat his fingers too!

Heres just some pictures of our past week. They include Gavin who is soooo teething. I have noticed them since 2 months old but now they are almost here and the drool is taking over! He is going to get his "fangs" first though! That should look real cute! You can tell by the pictures because all his clothes are so wet on his chest. I know I need to put a bib on the poor guy. Gavin also started eating solid foods. So far just oatmeal cereal with bananas and he really gobbled it up. I am not good at keeping this consistent though. I remember being the same way with Bradley, maybe thats why he has horrible eating habits. Or hes just picky like his momma! Yesterday Brad took Bradley to get some french fries and a dirtbike helmet?!! He didnt even tell me they were leaving because I was taking a nap with Gavin so to my surprise Bradley came in the house with a huge helmet! Apparantly they had gone dirtbike riding and Bradley hit his cheek on the handlebars. Very uncool! He has a big bruised cheek! At least Brad knew what he had to do in order for me not to flip out and not want him to ride anymore. I know it can be dangerous but I havent really thought any more on the subject because Bradley LOVES that time with Daddy and he loves the "vroom vroom." Then, that night, it was on to family game time. We bought Bradley UNO Moo for his birthday and this was the first time we played it. I highly recommend this game. I was shocked at how he caught on by his second turn and I love it too! I am a kid at heart so I have been waiting for him to be old enough to start family game night. We dont have a particular night yet and I need to beef up my collection of games for him too. Well, I guess thats about it. It is a beautiful day here today. It doesnt feel too much like winter so Im going to go enjoy it!

Grammy

Reading "No Pets Allowed" to Bradley before bed.
Snuggling Gavin.

Our date picture. I always try to remember to take one since
sometimes it can be all about the kids if you let it.

So I have to give a shout out to my rock star mom who I dont mention nearly enough. At least she told me shes never "featured" on my blog! My mom, Bradley and Gavin's Grammy, was just here visiting us from Maryland. She drove to my brothers in Charlotte and then when we went there for the birthday party she came home with us Saturday night until Monday. Bradley just loves Grammy because she plays and plays and plays with him. She always says "last time" but that never really happens. She is such a trooper with him because he can wear you out. I speak from experience. This visit Grammy even watched the boys so Brad and I could go on a dinner date. It was a super sweet and calming evening. So, ThanK You Mommy for all that you are and all that you do for my family. We all love you very much!

**BAM**, Bradley's 3rd Birthday!

"Bam" as Bradley says these days is exactly how I feel. Bam! In a blink of an eye our little baby boy is 3...a kid! What an amazing kid he is too. He never ceases to shock us with his wit, his humor, his vocabulary, his love and his mischief! He is one hot red headed mess as Brad and I have been known to say at times because there are no other words. Happy Birthday our Bradley Bear. Mommy and Daddy love you with all our hearts and nothing less! We will always cherish and celebrate this special day, February 19th!

Not only Bradley is full of surprises, daddy is too! He kept telling me "no" we werent getting him this and then he came home from work on his birthday and surprised both of us!

My cake I slaved over for him! Its kinda silly but hes all about dinasours!
Scary Steggasaurus huh! This was for today. We went to Charlotte, NC for my nephews birthday party that Bradley shared with him.
And he loves brownies and ice cream. This was yesterday on his birthday with just our little family! He just woke up from a late nap to discover all these superman presents! Hes saying "Mom, are these all mines?"

Daddy also came through with a cool Dinasour balloon!

At Preschool on Thursday morning. I normally just drop him off. The teachers literally get them out of the cars. So he was not liking me in his class taking pictures. He had a birthday celebration shared with his classmate and friend, Kenan.

Earlier this week I caught him dancing like this to the credits of "Shrek the Halls" and.....
he literally was "shaking what his momma gave him" Poor kid doesnt have a fighting chance. he totally has my dance skills. This is on one of those ultimate dance machines that you step on the arrows (look at him swinging in the background).
Bowling Birthday Party shared with his cousin Jackson. Happy 7 th Birthday today Jackson!
We have had such a great two days. Grammy is visiting with us now so the fun continues....

One Sweet Day

Today is mine and Brads 5 year ANNIVERSARY of our wedding day! This is how our love all started on "One Sweet Day"......

One sweet day you appeared in my life
And your love shined on me like heavens light

From that day forth I knew in my heart
That God's plan for us was to never be apart

He looked down upon us from Heaven above
And fit us together to fall in love

Now that we have, I must say
I've never been the same since
One Sweet Day!

This cheesy but oh so true love poem was written by yours truly when Brad and I were dating. It was Valentines day of 99. Eleven years ago, wow! We actually started dating in 98 so its been 12 years now, give or take some time in there apart. No love is perfect and all love has flaws but I would never want to live without Love. I will take imperfect love anyday. Our imperfect love! I love Brad with all my heart and nothing less as we say to each other and I love him even more now than the day I wrote this poem. Out of our love we have two amazing children and I give all the glory to God for them and for all that we have been blessed with together. Heres to another 5 years and more....heres to forever with the man I love!

nickname

So for all of you who keep up on the crazy speakings of Bradley and how smart and random he is, this is what happened today. I started hearing him say "nick-name" alot and then he asked me today. "Mom, whats your nick-name?" I asked him where he learned that and he said from Veggie Tales but who knows! So, I asked him if he knew what it was and he said no so then here I am trying to explain to an almost three year old what nick-names are. So, I told him mine was emmy or em or m&m or big butt (sike, i really didnt tell him that one!) and then through a serious of a million questions of everyone of our friends and family we recalled everyones nick-name! Daddy's is Woody, Bradleys is Bradley Bear, Gavins is Gavin Wavin, Sophias is pia, Liz is Wiz, Aubreys is Aubs, Olivias is Livy, Madelyns is Mad Mad or Mow, Isabellas is Bella, Bub or what we call her Smellas, Aunt Brittanys is Bitty, one that Bradley gave our friend Becky is Ducky which she like makes him call her that always since she loves it! My brother Nathan is Bubba from me then bradley started calling him uncle bubba and my other brother andrew my nick name for him is Adoo since thats what i called him when I was little. So, my point is where would the world be without nicknames? The military gives nick-names, children give and get nick-names, pets get nick-names and so on. Im sure I left some of your nick names out that I know so sorry if I did. You have to understand, Bradley loves to talk so I had to stop somewhere. I hope everyone has a positive experience nick-name, I also realize that not all of them can be great growing up. Like, for example, I will throw myself out there in hopes that you will too, my brothers called me "nappy-cappy." Can you feel the love from my childhood peopel! So, I would love to hear your nickname....comment to this post and tell me all about it! And if you never had a good nickname before then I am really SORRY!
