Weekend with Bubba & Fam!

This last Friday we went to Nathan, Joanie and Jackson’s place near Charlotte, NC. No particular reason except we were overdue to see each other.  On Friday we got there and right away the ladies took off to go to a party.  It wasn’t your usual Tupperware or purse party.  Let’s just say there were some silly games and vibrating things happening. This was one of Joanie’s friends hosting the party and since it happened to fall on the same weekend she made me tag along with her.  I swear I was forced!! haha.  No, really, it was a lot of fun just because we were all so scared of the objects and laughed at the idea of so many things.  It really was like a school lesson for me.  I am happy to say I am still innocent.  Maybe a little TMI for the readers but honestly all that stuff is just too much for me to handle. This Emily is enticing all on her own. Wink, Wink!

On Saturday we went to their pool.  The boys had a blast being little fish again.

A rare moment when I laid out.  I spent time swimming with Bradley and being a referee with the toys.

Bradley and Gavin slept in a bed together there and I found them like this when I went in to kiss them.  They looked like twins in utero or something when I had the picture in black and white.  They were so exhausted from the day.  Sweet dreams my babies.

On Sunday morning we took the boys to the park and to play basketball.

They are the cutest sweatiest boys I ever did see!

After the park session we headed home.  Joanie said Jackson cried that we left which is the sweetest thing from him.  He has become such a mature and strong 10 year old it amazes me! Our boys on the other hand were completely knocked out.  Bradley slept the whole way home and then said “Why did that not feel as long to get home as it did to get there?” I told him because he slept the whole way and he said “I did?1” He didn’t remember sleeping or waking up.  I swear I don’t drug my kids but if I did I know it would work, haha!! It just wore them out keeping up with their older cousin who runs non stop and is used to so much sports athleticism.  All in due time for us. It has been and will be fun to still see these boys growing even more together throughout the years. We love our Uncle Bubba & family!!

A day at Uncle Bubba’s

Yesterday was a sun up to sun down kind of day.  The boys and I drove to Charlotte to Uncle Bubba’s, Aunt Joanie’s and Jackson’s house.  Bradley was so so excited to spend the day with his big cousin.  We got to catch one of Jackson’s pee wee football games.  Although they look like they are in the NFL out there.  They get their name son their jersey’s and even support breast cancer awareness month just like you see the pro’s do during their games.  In case you are wandering about the pink socks! Here are the pictures.  Glad we got to go while Grammy was in town so she had all her boy grandsons together at once.  She see’s those beautiful girl granddaughters of hers in Maryland all the time ;).  Days like these make it hard living away from family.

At the game.  Aunt Joanie spoiling the boys with Swedish fish and Grammy holding Easton.

Jackson wearing his number 44 like his daddy had growing up.  Always # 44.  Glad they were able to choose and keep it in the family.

My little nephew is all big and grown up and a sweaty football player now.

023

This was the closest I got to any action shots and they are in a time out! I was either holding Easton or chasing Gavin.

After the game.  Unfortunately I don’t think Bradley understood the game enough.  He ran around the track with Grammy a few times.

028

Gavin with Uncle Bubba.  He said his name like 100 times yesterday and says it very clear.  Uncle Bubba had a little shadow for the day.

After the game we went back to the house.  The boys played outside while dinner was cooking up.

They live in a very quaint neighborhood with sidewalks.  Right after we got back to the house Jackson’s friends rang the doorbell asking if he could come out to play.

They live on a golf course and the golf day was over so they get to utilize all this space.  It was a very beautiful day too!

 039

Gavin did not want to hang with the big boys so he just ran up and down the hill making the fat on his cheeks bounce while he ran.

Doing football plays and Bradley has no clue what is happening!

I don’t know why Gavin does this but he pretends “night-night” a dozen times a day.

It is so cute! Hopefully Aunt Joanie will agree even after she sees her pillow on the floor!

Easton just crawled and explored this new place he was in.

Gavin got an early birthday gift.  He loved the puppy on the box so much that he gave it a kiss.

 082

We actually played with it this morning, THANK YOU!

Then after dinner we drove two hours back home and the boys didn’t make a peep the whole time.  They were all three so out of it that I got to crank the radio up loud.

It was a great and tiring day but then again, that is all my days with these three!

Love you Bubba, Joanie, Jackson and Grammy!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we went to Charlotte just for the night.  We had a wonderful time and had a combined dinner with some of our family and some of Joanie’s family.  All the food was amazing but I really didn’t have much room for much of it.  I felt like I would literally explode from eating one bite of my favorites.  The baby has really made himself comfortable!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for all my family and the gift of new life and I am especially thankful for Gods promises.  There are so many things that may not be perfect and things that we pray for that seem like they aren’t being answered but there is hope when you know all the things God does promise us and that he WANTS to give us the desires of our hearts.  These are just a few pictures of our day that include some of the things and people I am thankful for….

Jackson got a new puppy! I was thankful Gavin didn’t try to torture him.  In fact the puppy loved to go after Gavin and he didn’t cry.  Gavin and Riggo are now best buds and through there friendship Gavin learned to say PUPPY!

So thankful for my husband and these two redheaded boys and the baby in my belly!

I'm not sure if I am thankful for rough housing but I am thankful that the boys are normally not hurt bad.

063

My brothers.  Andrew wasn’t there but I can’t mention one without the other! Also for the food God provides for us!

Warmth and beauty in the world!
