Fall with Friends & Carving Pumpkins

Today we went a fall festival with the Salvog family. Besides school this was Bradley & Sophia’s reuniting and the adults too. We missed them while they were gallivanting on vacations this month. It was a beautiful day and I am glad we did this since October is almost over.

First stop was the ponies. Pia was so nice to share her bullseye with Bradley. He is in heaven right now!

Next they found the hayride and loved playing in it. This was a great alternative since the guys were saying we shouldn’t take them since its not on a real tractor!

Onto the bouncy slide….

These action shots of them playing as kids are going to be so great to look back at one day when they are older!

Snuggled up while the guys took Bradley and Pia into there first Haunted House experience. They did great and so far tonight no nightmares!

Tonight after dinner and Gavin was sleeping we carved pumpkins. Bradley was not into the gooey mess. He is all boy except for sometimes things on his hands creeps him out. He was loving using the Sharpie as a one time occasion since he knows to NEVER use it!

Check up, Catch up & Halloween is here

Prior to Gavin turning 1, I turned 26 on October 12th. Our birthdays are only 10 days apart. It wasn’t my best birthday ever but who’s complaining! I remember being pretty emotional. Probably because I was another year older and the pregnancy hormones. Anyways, I jumped on a doctors appointment to get flu shots for myself, Bradley and Gavin that morning before they ran out of them again. Great birthday present that was not what I wished for! Then after naps Bradley had his last soccer practice.

005 007 008 009

Brad bought me flowers and my cool ZOOM lens for my Nikon camera. Which is what the soccer pictures were taken with. Its a perk for being pregnant. I just sit myself in the grass and don’t even have to move to get the shot! I am really looking forward to having it for the lake and it will be perfect for sports in the future with my 3 boys!

017

He also got me take out Chinese food that I was craving and a chocolate cake to celebrate. We forgot before Bradley went to bed though so Brad sang me Happy Birthday by himself! Birthdays are no longer yours with kids on a weekday but in a way they are even better!

Next, here is just some stuff the boys are up to. Bradley is really into all kinds of games around the house. This is the “Daddy drag me on the floor with your leg game!” We also play hide and seek all the time. He always hides in the same spot 2 times in a row and then switches it.

003

006

Gavin loves to play with Daddy’s hats and gets into them in the closet all the time. Here he has just ran away with 3 of them! We are starting to see a new phase of him running from you if he has something he’s not supposed to. You know exactly what you are doing little skeezer!

009

Gavin had his one year CHECK UP this past Monday and he weighs 25 pounds and in the 72nd percentile in weight. He is in the 55th percentile with height for a number that I forgot. He is short that’s all I know! He is lovingly still spitting up for us! We tried 2%milk instead of whole and have been gradually mixing it with his formula but he still spits up some and cows milk is yuck smelling compared to formula spit up. Unbearable really. I just tried Almond milk but he doesn’t like the taste enough to drink what he needs. Now I guess I have to try Lactaid or Soy. He is still just roaring, clapping and dancing are his only tricks!

Next I have some cute pictures to share of him opening gifts. Some birthday and we have received tons of Halloween gifts from Mimi and Dunka and Great Granddad. THANKS everyone!

005

Matching Halloween shirts from Mimi & Dunka that you cant see anyways because of the way Bradley always wraps his arms around Gavin.

006

They were dressed up for Bradley’s Halloween Party at school.

007

Mrs. Sonja getting things ready.

008

They were marching with their pumpkin masks they made and oh YES, Pia is back! That is her in the pink. Bradley was so excited and ran to play with her right away in the morning.

009

Saying Grace before eating. I thought this was so sweet. When we pray at home we hold hands so I have never seen him do this!

012

Another party mom who helped me. Celeste is a MOPS friend too. We had to take pictures of our hair pieces that the kids totally didn’t pay attention too. I thought Bradley and the other kids would tell me I had a spider in my hair but it didn’t phase them one bit…sy spider! Oh and there you have it my 8 months belly shot!! The baby has dropped already and is head down ready for his big day whenever that is!

015

Treats they got today in the mail from Great Granddad.

A birthday gift from…..

They got him a matching pumpkin trick or treat bag like his brother has.

025

He’s really not that spoiled that he is wandering where's the stuff inside. He saw the tags and was trying to grab them.

I just think this stage is so cute when they think the boxes are more fun and paper and they are all around easy to please! Hope everyone has a …..

Today You are 1 Gavin!

Happy Happy Birthday Gavin! Today was a low key day but we all said Happy Birthday to you all throughout the day. You smiled and felt very special. You knew something was up! We even sang you this catchy tune all day that comes from mommy’s silly and corny side rather than creative side.

“Today is your Birthday

and your officially One

Today is your birthday

we hope your having Fun”

You liked it anyways and clapped to yourself and danced along to the catchy tune! After dinner you blew out another candle and we all had leftover cupcakes to celebrate. The chocolate worked much better this time. I think you liked it better (of course) than the vanilla and it showed up better on your face. After that you opened your gift from Mommy, Daddy & Bradley. Then it was off to bed for our little 1 year old handsome boy!

Let’s hope by Christmas we are out of this phase or we will have to clean up really fast before you have eaten your weight in paper!

Bye Bye Birthday until we meet again next year…..
