Easton @ 16 months

Well, I have to admit I lost track of how old Easton was for a while.  The reason why I skipped 15 months which I thought I had done.  Just like that he is 16 months old which I have counted and counted on my fingers with his birthday to recheck.  Crazy, right??! I just can’t believe he is becoming quite the little toddler and not a baby anymore (textbook), he will always be ‘our’ family baby! Sorry Easton, this is your privileged life.  So, as of April 16th, he has been sixteen months old.  Here is the news for your current age and stage Easty Bubbas….
014
Is it possible that your hair became wilder?  I think it has, even despite mommy not combing it daily.
017
You are still an amazing sleeper.  Two naps both 2-3 hours long and you sleep 12 hours straight at night.  Thank You Lord! You even wake up so happy, playful and are content to chill in your crib while your brothers play in the room with you or hop in the crib with you and bring you toys. See, I told you, privileged! Do you think Bradley or Gavin had toys handed to them the second they woke up? No.
018
What has not changed is that your smile is the best and you are still so cute, sweet and handsome.
 025
You still have the fattest Fred Flintstone feet too! I just can’t get enough of your piggies! You wear a size 4 shoe and you wear 18 or 24 month clothes.
 026
We did part of these pictures on the table because you are such a climber now.  You try and steal the bathroom stool everyday and take it to climb on anything and everything.
030 032
At your 15 month doctors appointment you weighed 22 lbs and were 28 3/4 inches tall.
038
You love to talk now and the words you say are Mommy, Daddy, Thank You, Ball, Kick, Bye- Bye, Cheese.  “Mwah” when you give your sweet slobbery open mouth kisses.  I know that is not technically a word. You also love to say and make the sound “Roar!” You also said “No” already just once.  Yikes. It just keeps happening earlier and earlier with each child. I can’t imagine where you learned that one from (GAVIN) but I’m not name dropping or anything! There may be a few more words, I am not writing them down when they happen like I should be.
 061 063
You love to point now, suck your thumb (still)  and even like to hit your brothers sometimes just to show them you don’t mess around and have taken notice to the fact that they like to wrestle you and crush you at times.  You will be so tough, you already are.  We have witnessed you make Bradley annoyed and hurt Gavin.
072
You love the water and you love to be outside and explore.
 091
You kick and scream when you have to come inside. You do that also with diaper changes and getting dressed. You just are in that phase of not wanting to be held back from your own free will.  The quicker you learn Mommy & Daddy know best the better we all will be.  That’s what I tell your brothers at least, ha-ha!
102e
You can throw back some food too! I let you do it to because you are my only one that loves veggies and eats them without hesitation.  I would say you like anything except eggs.  You used to eat them but now the texture must throw you off and that is Gavin’s food for the liking now.
 112 113
You like to be read to and you love to dance.  You dance anytime you hear a beat that makes you want to move your feet.  You move your feet a little but your signature move is waving your hands in the air and you make a clicking noise with your mouth to sing along.
115
 119

You do this new eye thing when you are being mischievous and you know it.  Like here for example.  I really don’t like you climbing on this alone and you were like “Watch me Mom, I’m going to do it.  Don’t stop me!”  We have trouble getting upset with this face.  Daddy and I are going to have to toughen up on you soon.  You are a quick and smart learner.
Happy 16 months to the best Easty Bubbas ever!

These Boys…..

are so many things rolled into one! Brad and I are loving every second of our parenting these boys.  Knowing that we are only just beginning, planting seeds and setting the foundations.  That can be tedious work at times but we are excited and will be eternally thankful to see the fruits of our labor some day when they are all grown up.  Praying we do it right too of course! Meanwhile were just eating up these tiny hands, toes and little moments with them trying to heed the all too heard of advice “they grow up so quickly, treasure this time.”
001
First time they all sat together at their table outside.  We moved Easton’s booster seat onto the chair.  Here he is saying “cheese” for real when I am taking the picture (he trains quickly;).  One of his  10 or so words we have caught him saying! Pretty good though we think!  This was so sweet them eating close together and giggling.
 005
Gavin having a mandatory “hug it out” moment with Daddy.  He is becoming quite the momma’s boy lately.  He gets really sad and square lipped when he gets in trouble from Daddy and comes running and crying to mommy but this time Brad made him go to him and calm down.  Daddy just can’t stand that I’ve got one of them!! ha-ha!
 006
His eyebrows get red and blotchy like mine do when we cry!
 007 010
Easton’s current favorite “toy.” It’s not really a toy, it is a Spiderman roll along suitcase but he thinks it is so much fun.  He pulls it and pushes it everywhere, then unzips it and plops down in it and sucks his thumb.
011
Some “serious” building going on!
 013
He loves Daddy’s yogurt and I have caught him scooping it with his fingers after ripping it open himself or punching the cap in.  He never learns when it comes to food!  The light & fit logo must keep him coming back.  I knew Brad wouldn’t eat it after his germy hands were in it so I had to let him eat it or it would have gone to waste.  I hate to succumb to this but we really may need to get a fridge lock!
 014
Make sure you don’t miss any Gavin!

Time for the ZOO

Spring weather is the perfect time for the Zoo.  Not too cold, not too hot and when your with friends, why not?! Wednesday we went with my friend Sarah and her two children Matthew and Brooke to our NC Zoo.  Bradley and Matthew are in school together and Brooke is a little older than Gavin but they get along great.  When Brooke isn’t having a crush on Bradley she pays attention to Gavin.  Gavin has no clue and he likes her and calls her “My Brookey.” They are two and a half years apart so I really hope that we don’t have to deal with this when they are older.  Your girlfriends liking your older brother, oh no! I know it happens but it just dawned on me for my boys. Luckily this first case is not very serious.

This Chimps name was Jonathon and he was a show off and crowd pleaser how close he got to the glass.  Their was another Chimp ( a younger male) who ran up and slammed into the glass right in front of all of them to startle them.  Trouble maker chimp! The kids laughed though!

 036 037

Lemur’s from Madagascar.

044 046

I wouldn’t want to smell his “gorilla breath!”

 049  061

Our Zoo just opened up and animatronics Dinosaur experience.  All the Dinosaurs moved to seem life like and made noises.  It was really neat.  Fascinating for the kids and the parents learn a lot too.

067 069

Bradley was a little scared of the T- Rex at first because it was so life like.

 071

Camp Tent for the Paleontologists.  Checking out replicas.

057

075

 076

Triceratops.

 080

 081

If we lived on earth with Dinosaurs I would not be smiling like this!

 082

This nice staff guy walked around giving information.  He was showing them a dino claw.

 084 089

085

Baby TRex’s are freaky looking!

091

093

094

This guy moves and squirts water.  He got me right in the eye, my camera a little and Gavin.  Gavin was scared but shook it off quickly.  I thought it was hilarious only since my camera didn’t get ruined, or my eye!!

095

At the end of the trail they can look for fossils in the sand and keep real small fossils in the dirt that they find.  Like shark teeth, prehistoric snails and sea urchins.

We ended with ice cream.  It was a great day and the boys did great!  I was actually surprised at how into it Gavin was and how much he walked on his own.

Daddy stayed home with Easton so I didn’t have to be supermom with 1 on 3 that day.
