Gross Pumpkins 2011

Our closest and biggest attraction for pumpkin picking and other fun is called GROSS FARMS.  I have researched and there really is no other option for all the things you can do in one place unless you drive over and hour.  I just had to throw the name in here since this is the third year we have been and it just sounds funny saying we are going to the Gross Farm.  What a crappy last name but they sure did make up for it with the fun they bring to so many families every fall. 

This year we got to try the pumpkin jump for the first time.  I really did not feel like I went that high since Gavin’s 30 pounds weighed me down.  They both had so much fun and mommy too!

Bradley kept slipping so here I am trying to jump with both of them.  There were a lot of other people on all at once so I couldn’t bust out any cheerleading jumps or anything.  Probably a good thing!

After all that excitement we were off to the ship playground.

Gavin picked one up that was way too heavy for him.  About to drop it.  He did this and threw a lot of them, kicked them and fell on them all day. 

Bradley and Daddy were off trying to find the “best” pumpkin.  They searched the whole field and perimeters. 

 

 

I caught these two both with their hands on their hips.  I guess they were thinking of what to do if they didn’t find the best pumpkin today.

Gavin did finally join the search team and Bradley was being a great big brother helping him along the path. 

They went into some tall grassy area where Bradley is in there somewhere and out walked this….

Then Gavin laid a huge golden egg and we went home.  Just Kidding! hehe!

Falling Into Fun

We are loving fall around here.  October is and always has been my favorite time of the year.  It brings the crisp weather and the leaves changing colors and falling.  You can jump in the raked up piles, go to the pumpkin patch, enjoy a hay ride and drink warm apple cider.  This is also fair season and the best part is that it is my birthday month.  Now Gavin gets to share this wonderful birthday month with me too.  We hope to be able to enjoy all or most of what fall has to offer soon.  Tomorrow we are going to the pumpkin patch for Bradley and Brad to partake in their tradition of finding the “best” pumpkin in the field.  Here are some pictures of the boys having fun around the house and in the bath and then today at the park.  We got ice cream in cups not cones so we could take it to the park with our lunch, then PLAY!

Daddy helped them to move all my furniture on the porch into a fort.  It got late and we left it like that last night and then this morning I asked Bradley to put everything back.  I looked out the window and was amazed at how strong he was and how he was really “working.”  He looked all grown up and I was so proud of him for not complaining if something was heavy and he never quit until the job was done. 

Last night they all took their first bath together! Adorable!!

When it was all time to go mommy and daddy’s second little helper had to buckle.  This is his favorite thing to do is buckle and will freak out screaming and say “I buckle, buckle!” if you try to help him.  He even has people I know let them buckle their baby’s in the infant car seats.  He grins and is so pleased with himself when he does this successfully! 

Autumnfest 2011

Mommy and Gavin and Bradley did this today! It is more my style than Brads so he stayed home with Easton. E is a little under the weather and the weather outside was actually chilly at times. It definitely felt like fall today for me. Other than this I made fried apples with cinnamon and sugar this morning for breakfast and baked homemade chocolate chip cookies this evening with my windows open. Crisp and warm all at the same time. The boys were definitely eating up my great mood, well, mostly they just ate up the cookies!! You get the picture, it was a perfect start to October. Looking forward to this month. My birthday and Gavin's to celebrate soon!
