Lets Get Buggy

Bradley had his Spring Music Program at Preschool last night.  He is in the two year old class but he turned three this school year.  All the boys were spiders and the girls were butterflies.  Liz, Sophia and Chase came to cheer him on.  With two strollers between Liz and I we didn’t have the best seats in the house but these are the pictures I managed to capture.

His name is the last one and these are all the songs they sung!

052

This was Bradley walking in with his Spider hat!

061

This was him in the beginning.  He saw the crowd and got really shy.  Classic case of stage fright!

060

Then he decided to participate in the last song “Butterfly, Butterfly turn around”

059

Butterfly, Butterfly turn out the light

Butterfly, Butterfly say good night!

054

Then he came to sit in the audience with us while the other two classes performed.  Bradley and Pia screamed “Yeah” and clapped after every song that was sung because that was the only time they could be loud.  They had to be extra quiet during the songs.  They had no clue what was going on but they still cheered for all the other kids!

049

Afterwards there was a table FULL of COOKIES for the kids and the parents went around and bid on items in a silent auction.   My bids didn’t win anything but this was a bookshelf of handprints for his class that was being auctioned.  All the money goes to the preschool and trying to keep tuition down.  I wasn't in need of a bookshelf but it was so cute and I couldn't resist his cute little chubby hand print.

Bradley will be going to this school again next year in the three year old class 3 mornings a week.  He really loves school and I love his teachers and the break!

When we got home that night we were all tired and here is sweet Gavin asleep.  I didn’t even change him into his pajamas.   I cant believe he’s six months old already.  I feel like I say that a lot but its true.  They grow whether or not you are ready.  Just when you think you have a grasp on things, they Change! So that was yesterday with my two sweet, dare I say, mommas boys!  I love you two bucketsfull !

Our Springfest Fun

Yesterday after lunch we headed to one of the many events our county puts on for their community.  This was in the next town over from ours which as far as festivals, the historic district and shops I think is better.  I love So. Pines!  We went later in the day so we didn't stay long but we had just enough time to do all of this….

010That's Bradley and I on the far right.  Here we go….012

I was scared.  My heart actually did sink to my stomach.  Look how cute Bradley is.  He’s such a big boy now and a daredevil!   Then he went in this firehouse maze…

016

that had a slide at the end to get out of it….

021

Then Daddy picked him up at the exit door.  Look at these two.  Like father, like son.  Look at their arms as they walk.

019 018

Then  he went on the teacup swirly thing with his friends Gracie and Oliver.  He was so dizzy after this that I don’t think he cared for it too much.

024

Then he talked mommy into this.  The mechanical bull.  We lasted probably like 45 seconds.  Hey, give me a break.  My stomach muscles aren't the same after 2 kids and I had to hold him on too.

028

030

After this we went tumbling down.  That was the part that scared him.  He cried and didn’t want to go the second time around.  Never again until I get myself in shape.  I looked pretty pitiful up there.  The worst part is that the guy behind the controls was going easy on my since Bradley was so little.   Oh well.  You win some and you lose some and this BULL won!

031

Then after we got home this is what Gavin started doing.  The beginning stages of crawling.  He made it about two times alternating his arms and legs but he still has a journey ahead of him.

Keep up the good work Gavin the Great!

His new favorite thing!

While Mimi was here she ordered Bradley and Gavin a new toy from her and Dunka.   It arrived Thursday evening and Bradley has been on a roll ever since, literally.  Check it out, Its the…..

051

045

It came in tons of pieces for Brad ;) but Bradley didn’t mind the wait….

049

He took advantage of this cool green car.   This is the roller coaster all ready.  Daddy was explaining to him how to push off….

DSC_0038

and here he goes….

DSC_0045

and he’s still going.  Mr. Speed Racer ….

DSC_0066

This thing is super cool and really fast! It started in the middle of our yard since we didn't know what speeds to expect but it is now at the top of the hill for optimum speed.  On a flat surface it will eventually stop but in our back yard you have to catch it to stop him.  Or her, Sophia came over to see what all the buzz was about and boy did she love it….

DSC_0063_a2t4lYHOnnAD

If it wasn't for an adult having to manually stop it in our yard this toy is completely self sufficient.  Once they are done rolling they push it back UP THE HILL and onto the coaster track, turn around, sit down….

048

and then do it all over again! Do you see that I am getting at, this totally tires them out! Thanks MIMI and Dunka!  We all love it and think it is super duper cool!  He rode the roller coaster again on Thursday after Mimi and Granddad left and then Friday and Saturday morning, bright and early he was asking to go on it again.  He did both days! He now wears a helmet on it though since mommy failed to stop him right one time.  He’s totally fine but I wish I could wrap him in bubble wrap and let him crash so I wouldn't have to go out there and stop him.  Darn, Brad says I can’t…or I cant get tires and prop them against the fence.  Darn again.  Ha-ha! This is where you will find us probably everyday this summer.  Oh and I cant resist putting pictures of Gavin, who could just watch of course until he gets older….

spoiled family fun

Well, I have a lot to catch up on and tons of pictures to share of our week.  Mimi has been visiting since Saturday night and after our Sunday on the farm here is what we got ourselves into……P1070726

P1070727

This is us at Sonic Burger.  Mimi loves Sonic Burger and we go every time she is here!  It was a beautiful day and daddy met us there because he got off work early on Monday.  We had just come from TJ Maxx shopping for three hours so Bradley got Jellybeans in the check out line for being good.  Which he is showing off.  Then what could make his day better than jellybeans….it’s french fries, a chocolate shake and the playground.  Shopping, fun, sun and calories summed up this great day!

Tuesday we did more shopping in the morning while Bradley was in school and when we picked him up we went to the park.  We took his bike and walked three times around the track and on the very last lap on the very last turn he took a big fall.  This is his war wound….

018

He was quickly over it showing it off and ready to play….

021

016 020

027

Bradley wasn’t the only one having fun.  Gavin is such a big boy swinging!

019

then we went back to the house to cook dinner and Gavin helped.   Our little “Fresh Express Baby!”

028

This dinner was especially one to talk about because Bradley had a funny quote I have to share.  He asked to drink some of daddy's water filled to the brim and of course he spilt it all over his pajamas.  He said “Daddy, can you take my shirt off please?’ So Brad did and he said “thanks.” Then Brad, myself and Mimi continued to eat and talk and a few moments later Bradley stood at Brads side with no shirt on still and said “uhhh, Daddy, my FREAKIN’ pants are wet too!” Brad looked at me, then looked at his mom to catch our reaction then simultaneously we all busted out with our laughs!  What made it cute besides the word freaking was how he was so concerned and polite about his shirt that by the time he realized his pants were wet too he said it like he was annoyed! You are too funny our Bradley Bear.  Like I said before..keep the funny quotes coming!

On to Wednesday.  I had a MOPS meeting and Mimi watched the boys for me.  This is what Gavin did while I was gone…..

034

and then Great Grandaddy came into town that morning.  He drove from Brevard, NC.

036

then after dinner and more shopping Bradley got these 3D glasses to go with sidewalk chalk from Mimi and the Tootsie Pops from Granddad.  He is so spoiled I don't even try to fight it at times.  As you can see he is eating TWO suckers at 9 at night.

042

that doesn’t stop mommy from loving my boy…See…I just love him so much for his quirkiness.

044

So, Thank you, Thank You Mimi and Grandaddy for spoiling all of us.  We had so much fun during your visit and today we were sad to see you both leave.  We love you both very dearly!

There was more spoiling and gifts that took place but that will be next for its very own story of today!

don’t say Llama!

Llama Llama red pajama is one of Bradley’s favorite books these days.

Llama, Llama Red Pajama [Book]

but don’t tell these guys that…..017

P1070659

This was our Sunday at the Alpaca Farm as a family with Mimi who flew in the night before from California….

P1070665

He was so precious and calm with the alpacas.  He giggled when they ate from his hand.

026

“Here You go Packa” as he called them.

012

then here is an old guy on the tour giving his food pellets to Bradley to feed to them since he was out.  There were like 5 kids and 10 people over 50 without children on the tour.  I said to Brad that I thought it was weird all the old people and he said its the circle of life!!  Children and old people are most likely the only people to find an Alpaca farm interesting.  We laughed but you wont catch us 70 and on an alpaca farm! ha!

Next we got on a hay ride and went to see mini donkeys….

P1070697

and goats…this goat started chewing on Brads pants then he jumped up on him.   It was funny seeing Brad try to stay composed.

P1070707

and Dolly the potbelly pig…..

034

and the cutest bunny that we let Gavin pet or should I say grab and try to put in his mouth….P1070721

and lastly a whole bunch of barnyard animals.  A cow, turkeys, chickens and a peacock.

P1070710

It was a great smelly and dusty day but we all loved to see how happy it made Bradley!
