Snow much fun days

The day after Christmas we woke up to about 6 inches of snow and it was still falling.  It was pretty spectacular to say the least.  Bradley was so excited and I was excited to see Gavin play in it for the first time too.  We got snow last year and the year before.  Here’s the recap of the Pinehurst snow days….

January 20, 2009….Bradley’s First Snow! Sophia and him wore that sled out that day!

DSC_0035 January 30, 2010 …just earlier this year was Bradley’s second snow and Gavin’s first!  Now onto our second snow of 2010….

Gavin was tickled to see all this white stuff.

017

Daddy was outside cleaning the cars and threw snowballs up at Bradley!

022

Now we are finally outside and they ganged up on my and threw snowballs at me when I had the camera.  So unfair!

024

Geez Bradley, don’t be that excited that you are dancing for mommy to get pelted with snowballs.  Thanks!

025

028

Gavin wasn’t overjoyed like Bradley but he sure looks cute in the snow.  He got too cold eventually and actually took off and climbed the stairs to go back inside…hint, hint!

Sharing Snowballs.

I love his faces and those cheeks!

Then we made a sled. Bradley loved it just as much as last  year.

Gavin didn’t even crack a smile.

We had so much fun and once I set the camera down I did get to join in on the sledding and the snowball fights.  I got Daddy and Bradley back! I hope snow adventures can be a part of the boys childhood every year.

Jesus is the Reason…

for this season! Since I didn’t mention anything in my Christmas blog and I couldn’t say it better than her.  I wanted to share with you my friend Rachel’s blog.  She is inspiring and this particular story is what we should have been thinking about and talking about at some point yesterday because that would have honored God.  I hope you did but if not then read this and there is always next Christmas and everyday to know and share the love of Jesus!

Christmas with the Woodward’s

This Christmas was our first as a family of five and it was very special for all of us! We shared so many great memories and had Mimi and Dunka here to share them with.  It was their first time spending Christmas morning with our family.  Bradley was so excited Christmas morning.  He ran into our bedroom to wake us up after seeing Santa had indeed left gifts and stockings for all of us.  He said “Mommy, Daddy…Santa came quickly in the middle of the night while I was sleeping and he left me presents…come see…hurry!”

Cookies and Egg Nog left for Santa.  He left the boys a note too.

The stockings filled.

Mimi and Dunka’s crafty stocking made by me…ha-ha!

011

Gavin’s Christmas gift.  He got this one big gift from Santa since he is just at that age.  He LOVES it and Bradley pushes him all around the house in it.  It wont stay in the house but it has been great with them being cooped up inside since its cold.

017

A recorded card Bradley made for them.  They were laughing because he recorded the “farting frog” for them.

027

Gavin picked everything up off the floor after we opened it and in his mouth it went!

032

Bradley had to take every single piece of paper off (even from the bottom) before he opened his gifts.

He got Woody and Bullseye…

This is what he had wished for the most…Batman! He had been asking for Batman with the Vroom Vroom (motorcycle) but he also told his teachers he wanted a race car so Santa gave him the “Batman with the race car.” Well, he made sure to let us know about Santa’s mistake.  This kid remembers everything!

Famous Christmas morning photo…the no make-up one!

The day before our family friends Mike & Vicki in California sent the boys these matching bear hats.  Thank You so Much Mike & Vicki…here is their picture.  We love the hats! 017

We didn’t have a white Christmas but when we woke up this morning, we more than made up for it….

Merry Christmas from our family…

I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas tomorrow.  I wanted to share some of our Christmas pictures with all of you.  I am leaving some out for the New Years card I plan to do.  Liz took these beautiful pictures of my family and newborn pictures of Easton. Mimi, Dunka and Brad’s Granddad joined in on the fun too! Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a picture of the three boys together, just them, because Bradley can not hold Easton and try to hold down Gavin at the same time.  He just ran right away if an adult wasn’t holding him.

Yes, Brad is holding my belly.  he is either really use to me being preggers or he was being nice and covering my leftover belly.  These were taken 5 days after he was born and yesterday he was 1 week old!
