Gavin had a wonderful party and we want to say a big THANKS to everyone who made it to the celebration. Gavin loved being the center of attention but also has never had that many people staring at him all at once before so he has many straight faces instead of smiley ones. He did not know why we were making such a fuss over him! We did anyways though and here is a glimpse of the birthday boys day….
It was an “Our Little Pumpkin” theme so he had pumpkin games, pumpkin themed food and pumpkin decorations with festive polka dot birthday boy colors because I didn’t want it to look like a Halloween party.
A year of photos. A pumpkin for each month.
His cake was vanilla with pumpkin cheesecake frosting!
Chocolate pumpkin with pumpkin cheesecake icing cupcakes for his guests!
We took a photo op with every guest or at least I really tried to. I missed several families at this location…
Gavin just learned how to “roar” like a lion and he is saying that here.

Now onto the cake……
The candle is lit and the hands are held down and he is listening to everyone sing to him. He was shocked and confused but ended up loving his cake!
and presents….
He kept on wanting to just take a card or tissue paper then walk away and eat it. We kept on having to carry him back to me and grab his attention.
We also had tons of games for the older kids. Gavin wanted them to have fun at his party of course. There was “Pumpkin Picasso.”
All of these children have an artist in them and they got to take home their pumpkins. Bradley is in this new phase of us not being able to keep his clothes on him. He ran around the party in his underwear for a bit until Brad redressed him for the 5th time that day. He must not have wanted his brother to have all the attention. We also had bobbing for apples in my titled game “Not so pumpkin apple all.”
There was also the carnival dart game we recreated into “Pumpkin Pop.” There was 15 one dollar bills and candy the kids were trying to get. The duds had fun confetti!
There was also “Pin the face on the Pumpkin.” I couldn’t choose who was the best or unique so everyone got a prize. Bradley started to rearrange his face once he took the blindfold off. He knocked an eye off in his attempt to make the perfect face.
Last there was the Pumpkin Piñata. The day got away from us so there were only 3 kids who got all the candy and Bradley knocked it off without busting it so Brad duck taped it back on and Jackson was the one who busted it!
Brad was having too much fun with the pulley system.
Here are some more memorable pictures.
By the time the guest had gone and the evening had come, Gavin got back in his high chair for dinner and he couldn’t wait for bed……
Sweet dreams little pumpkin!
