Happy Easter Everyone from the Woodward’s! We have had a great weekend doing Eastery stuff. Yesterday we dyed Easter eggs to start off with. These weren't the traditional eggs. They had monster faces and hair which Bradley thought was cool. We had a significant less amount to die than I had planned because Bradley got a hold of the eggs when I was setting up and he threw them all over the porch. I would like to say he didn't know they were breakable and like the plastic ones he has been playing with but he was probably being bad. After we finished that we went to another Easter hunt just because I heard the Easter Bunny was making an appearance! Which he did and Bradley was totally shy. Then in typical three year old fashion once we had to leave and his chance was over he wanted to go back and see the bunny again. This morning on Easter Sunday we took it easy and decided to go to the 11 o’clock service. Brad made us a nice breakfast burrito breakfast and headed off to church after that. Notice I didn't mention waking up to find the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny came while we were in church. After all Jesus is what the day is about and I didn't want to put the basket before him or have Bradley hopped up on sugar. Its hard enough to get that kid to eat breakfast as it is so after a basket of treats it would have been over. So, church was great and when we came home it was baskets, lunch and the Bunny also left tons of eggs in the back yard full of money for Bradley. We counted it and its was $20 that he has in his piggy bank for now and he wants to use it to buy chocolate milkshakes! What else is there to spend your money on really! Chocolate milkshakes make this kids world go round, unfortunately! So that was our wonderful family Easter. Last year Brad was deployed and Gavin was in my belly. Bradley and I were in Maryland with my family so it was so nice to just relax and be home!
This bunny never had a chance…..
This was sweet. Bradley heard the woman tell her son “lets find a blue one” and Bradley had a blue one in his hand and he ran over and said”Here you go, here’s a blue egg you can have!” That made my day!
Bradley did not grab as many eggs as he could. He would open them right there and if he liked the candy he would eat it and if not he threw it all back on the ground! Yikes! He is a handful to teach sometimes.
He was shy around the bunny. He gave him a high five after the camera was away of course!
The Easter Bunny came to our house!
Daddy helping Gavin. He got books and anything he can put in his mouth to chew. Smart Bunny!
Tiger, Zebra, Elephant, his first wallet and more….
There was no hope getting Gavin to look!
My Boys and Me!
Bradley you walked right past the pink one next to your head silly :)
Got them All!
It is written, Christ has Risen. Jesus you are Lord of All!
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing his head, He gave up his spirit.
