After church today we had our friends Lacey and Adam graciously watch Gavin for us so we could take Bradley to his very first ever movie theatre movie showing. How perfect that this movie was out at the time he is the right age and the time he is into Dragons. We all LOVED it and Bradley Bear did so good. He was so excited and so concerned for the dragon “toothless” when he was captured by the Vikings. Bradley was mesmerized and his eyes were glued to the screen from the moment we sat down with one hand in the popcorn the whole time. The moral of the story was to be true to who you are. Not trying to be something your not even if you want to fit in. A great lesson for our children to learn. And like the ending of this movie, when you are true to yourself and your beliefs you triumph in the end!
Hiccup and Toothless the Dragon
Just arrived. So anxious but waiting patiently.
His fake “cheese.” All the posters for this say 3D since its an option but we took him to the regular movie. We heard 3D was incredible loud and we didn't want him to be frightened.
“Can I have some popcorn and candy Daddy?”
Brad and Bradley sharing popcorn ( I had my helping too), but I just thought it was so cute how the large bag was up to his chin so his little hand didn’t have far to go from the bag to his mouth! He looked so cute in the seat!
He asked a few questions and made a few statements to try to understand the movie. Its great how there little minds want to learn. One thing that stood out was his compassion for the dragon. He said “mommy, why did the men lock him down?” They didn’t understand what they were doing until Hiccup showed them the light and saved the day and his Viking village forever! Towards the end Bradley started to get tired and when it was over he said “Ok, lets go!” So, we did, of course, and he was asleep 1 mile later!
Here are some cute quotes from the movie…because everyone loves a good movie line!
- But you just pointed to all of me!
Yes! That's it! Stop being all of you!
- I'm way too muscular for their taste! They wouldn't know what to do with all this!
- And my undies. Good thing I brought extras.
- 'Excuse me barmaid, I'm afraid you brought me the wrong offspring! I ordered an extra large boy with beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. This here, this is a talking fish-bone!'
- It's not so much what you look like, it's what's inside that he can't stand.
- Your Crazy, I like it!
