All day Friday and Saturday it has been cold and rainy here. Today it was not as chilly but the best part is the rain cleared and things were dry enough. After church and some naps we headed over for an afternoon at the park. Brad wanted to work with Bradley on some soccer skills for his indoor soccer league he is in this month and through half of October. He has practice tomorrow so I will get some pictures then.
With the rainy day brought new toys. This was a gun I had bought Gavin but I didn’t get the right caps so Brad fixed that with a trip to Wal-Mart. It actually has fire and smoke come out of it. Bradley got a new sword so now we have two (we have had two before but would you believe it , boys break things!! Go figure right!) and they got a little walkie talkie set.
Rough housing is what I see everyday!
Back to loving each other!
I went in Gavin’s room after he had come out from nap time and found his crib had this. I guess he did a little reading! He has never taken books from the bookshelf while sleeping before but since preparing for a marathon is no easy task, there isn’t any time to waste.
Now, here they are at the park today. Getting their skills on. Gavin is such a little Daddy’s boy. I have to say that the other night Brad and I went out on “Date Night” where a local church watches the kids one Friday night out of each month at a fraction of the cost for a sitter. When we went to get them I walked right up to Gavin being held by a Grandma since he was the first one I saw and I said “Hey Buddy, Mommy’s here!” and he looked right past me and shouted “Daddy!” while lounging for Brad walking up behind me. There is no discretion with him being a Daddy’s boy. Stinker!
Watch out David Beckham! They are good soccer players and they have red hair the ladies love!
What trip to anywhere would be complete without the infamous…..MELTDOWN! Both unhappy the other was getting the ball kicked to them first from Daddy or me.
Gavin and I with Easton on my back ventured to the playground to let Bradley and Daddy play alone for a while. We stopped at the bleachers for some jumping and making that fun bleacher noise.
Then since Bradley wouldn’t share the soccer ball over at the field. Wouldn’t you know it we came across two twins. A boy and a girl who had soccer balls they let Gavin play with. He was in soccer ball heaven. He even took the pink one over to show Bradley and gloat.
Playing with Mommy.
Serious.
Happy Freedom.
Funny Sweet.
I took Easton of the carrier on my back and let him crawl around.
In the song of the Fresh Beat Band that Bradley watches, “We had a great day, it was a super way, to spend some time together and nothing could be better!”
