what does the stick say??!!

Welcome to the official shocking announcement of me being pregnant! Our third baby is 8 weeks in the making and will be here sometime around Christmas!

Don’t worry, Brad and I couldn’t believe it either.  Or maybe since it wasn’t planned we didn’t want to believe it.  I will always have a tiny version of denial until he or she is born but the idea of being parents of three a lot sooner than we thought is growing on us.  We always knew we most likely wanted to have three children but 14 months after Gavin is not what we were both thinking!

The only way to explain this phenomenon is God.   Even though it wasn’t planned on our end this baby is not a mistake or accident.  It’s Gods plan that he had in mind for Brad and I and the more we lean on that understanding the easier the idea of having three children under the age of 4 will be.   Right?  Yes, that is right, that’s what I’m telling myself at least.   God doesn't ever give you more than you can handle and when we trust in him we will be blessed.

I did just mention 3 children under the age of 4.  So let me get into the statistics of what makes this all sound so CRAZY beautiful.  If the baby is born in December, Bradley does not turn 4 until February and Gavin will just be two months past his 1st birthday.  Bradley is also a late kindergarten starter so he will still be at home for another year and a half after the baby is born.   Can we say plate FULL?  Not to mention some other life changing events that are in the works for our family but that is a whole other post that will have to wait.

When you look at all the fun facts of it, it is comical.  You just have to laugh at me.  Go ahead, you can.  Like, within 2 years I have only NOT been pregnant for 4 months and I was pregnant this very same time last year.  Ummm and I was still breastfeeding while I was pregnant.

On another note, the flip side, our children will be all really close in age and Gavin and baby #3 will go through all the same phases at the same time once they hit a certain age.  Our children will all attend school together at more than one point in their lives and I guess all the other details besides sibling rivalry should be fun.  A Great Adventure.  I know there is tons I am not thinking of but that's because I will have to wait and see what these three wonderful children have in store for us.  Oh, wait…here's a good one.  Brad and I will be early empty nesters.  Hopefully that equates to a really nice vacation to celebrate.

So, we will most definitely find out boy or girl?  We are both the curious type and I'm sure everyone else is to.  Brad says he is preparing himself for another red headed boy but the icing on the cupcake of this unexpected pregnancy would be a blonde headed baby girl! That's for him.  I on the other hand, have said it several times and I will say it again, I don't need a Girl to feel complete.  I will love her with all my heart and nothing less but my boys are my heart for now and that is all I know and understand.

Well, I guess that is enough shocking news and tidbits for now.  We have 7 months to TRY to prepare so stay tuned! However, all you parents know, there is no prefect preparation that allows us to determine the outcome when it comes to our children.  Anyways, follow me on my journey being pregnant with two munchkins already!   I promise, it will be GOOD!
