Since We’ve Been Home

Not too much has been going on this week.   Brad took Bradley & Gavin to the park like twice so I could nap and catch up on things around the house.  Other than Bradley in school and my bible study Thursday night we have been low key.  Today had a few highlights though! Here is team Woodward, a week in the life of…..

002

Brad  and I were talking and it is always the case that Bradley wants to jump all over us when we do that.  So, Easton was fussy back in our room so we sent Bradley to check on him.  We came back and he was propped up on this pillow with the covers drawn over him and he turned cartoons on for him!! Surprisingly the bed was made and the TV was off before that.  We thought it was so sweet of him and it worked.  He was so content and not crying!

Bradley and Gavin figuring out how to unlock the windows.  Yikes!!

While they make all the commotion, this is what Easton does.  Stays sweet!

Woodward Wrestling going on in bed.  Daddy got pinned! I am going to have a party the day I don’t see that stupid pacifier in all my pictures!

Today after morning naps and a small trip to the store we all loaded up set off to pick strawberries.  Bradley was so excited but we went to two places and they were both closed.  I guess the strawberries are rationed or something because they go quick.  I have no clue! We are still going to try again tomorrow after church.  Since that didn’t work we got ice cream!! Bradley chose Birthday Cake flavor and Brad and I split a Mint Chocolate Chip, well, that was the plan at least.  We were just going to share some with Gavin and I totally forgot about how he has had his own before and the fact he is in toddler meltdown mode these days!! Duh!

016 This was the plan….

But then when I went to give him a bite he kept on wanting to grab the scoop off so I just gave in and gave it all to him.

Now that he was in CONTROL, he shared with us!

Happy it is all his to hold!!

Yum, Yum!! I tell Brad at times like these….”Look at what we have started in him, we sure are in for IT!!”

033

Bradley just soaked every last bit of his in.  Ice Cream is so simple yet brings such joy to kids.

This is what I get when I ask for them to look and smile! Oh and Gavin was flinging that ice cream around everywhere.

This evening we went to a birthday party Bradley was invited to.  His friend Jack from school.  It was at the same Gymnastics place we had Bradley’s party at.  He had so much fun and got all sweaty and ran off all his leftover energy just in time for bed.  They served Pizza at this party and you may ask “What kid doesn’t like Pizza?” The answer is “OURS.”  He was one of 2 out of 20 kids not enjoying a slice.  He is very healthy so I am not complaining but I really should work on this and I hope one day he realizes he was crazy for not liking pizza.

That is about it.  Tomorrow we hope to have better luck with the strawberries and hope the weather is beautiful for it.

One more thing, I am not sure if I wrote this on Gavin’s last update and I don’t want to forget to write it down somewhere but he now says “love you” back to us!! That is always a sweet one to remember.  Words we will always say and always love to hear forever.  He had said it once a month or so ago and stopped.  I would try to get him to say it again and he wouldn’t.  Last night as I laid him down for bed I said “Good night, I love you!” and as I was shutting the door he said “love you!” It sounds a little more like “lohhh you” though.  So adorable!

LOVE the pics of Gavin with the cone! Adorable! And Bradley is getting so big - He's like the baby whisperer with Easton! Soon, he'll start charging you. ;)
