Home Again

Well, we are home from the Lake House again this summer.  I have a lot of pictures but here are just a few to get started.  We say good-bye to our sweet nieces, Isabella, Madelyn and nephew Holden today and their Mommy, Devon.  We had so much fun and makes us realize even more how we wish we lived closer for them to grow up together.

Dentist Day

This morning Bradley had his third ( I think) dentist visit and Daddy took him this time.  Both times prior the dentist has been able to get the job done but it has been with some whining, being scared and sitting on my lap in the chair.  Amazingly, this visit was different.  Imagine THAT!! With Daddy the world is a better place and life is easy.  Brad even took my camera and blamed it on me saying “My wife is making me take pictures since she forgot his first time.” I told him to blame it on me for looking crazy and he said before he left “Of course I’m going to.” Thanks, Babe! Anyways, I am thankful Brad took the pictures even if it was all my fault and I can’t complain that he didn’t get a picture of Bradley’s name on the “No Cavity Club” board.  It’s his first club how could he forget a picture of that, haha!  The Dentist was amazed at how well he did and even told Brad that there was a 7 year old in the next room that wouldn’t even open his mouth and Bradley was an amazing patient to work on.  I however, will wait and see if all of this holds true when I have to take him back by myself.  I’m not going to hold my breath since I’m not Daddy! I have hope though!

Holding a big tooth mirror.   Can’t you just feel the enthusiasm radiating off him! At least he was behaved and sat still.

003 004 005

Showing off his clean pearly whites and once home he told me about all his “treats” for being a good boy!

007

Also a BQOTD over lunch….

Bradley: “I don’t want to eat the peach skins!”

Me : “Bradley, just eat the skins!!!!!!”

Bradley: “But, I don’t want to cuz they’ll make me       skinny.”

Skins making you skinny, get it!! What a knee slapper.  He did eat all his peaches with skins included.

He also tries to tell a knock knock joke now that Daddy taught him.  The “orange you glad I didn’t say banana!” joke.  However, he forgot it and says it like this….

“Knock Knock”

“Who’s there?”

“Orange.”

“Orange Who?”

“Orange Bradley!”

Then he just busts out laughing and is thrilled with his joke!

We are headed to the lake house tomorrow to hang out with some of the family.  I am so excited to see everyone and we get to meet our nephew Holden.  I may decide to just post everything once home!

Party and “Nuseum”

This weekend Daddy got home on Friday night and Saturday we went to one of his buddies sons 2nd Birthday party.  Choo-Choo, Wyatt is 2! It was so cute of a theme for that age.

028

The boys napping on they way there.  I love how they tilt their heads together.

033

035

The Birthday Boy himself.  He wasn’t this serious the whole time.  He had a great party!

039

The cake was really cute and yummy!

036

Gavin had a great time too.  He made two friends.  This little cutie, Reese and…..

  041

Lula, the dog!!

We stayed until the sun went down and that is when the boys got strolled around in this and even stopped at a horse farm to pet the horses right near the house.  Thanks Zach, Megan and Wyatt for a wonderful afternoon hanging out and celebrating!

Today we drove our little family  1.5 hours far away to a “Nuseum” Bradley calls it.  The Life and Science Museum to be exact.  It was really COOL.  Neat sites and educational.

058

First stop, the Choo-Choo train where Daddy and Bradley were looking at the map to plan our day.

069

Then we checked out the Dino’s and Bradley made it very clear he did not want them to move.  So, good thing they didn't.  I explained to him that they were “extinct” and he said “what’s that mean?  exSTINK, did you say?  Is that toilet talk mommy!?”

Never got through to him on the actual meaning of extinct but were going to clean his ears out tonight, haha!

and we made smoke rings and air……

Daddy’s turn.  You just punch the red cushion and you get hit with a gust of air.

087

Bradley’s turn.  Ok, Daddy, I'm ready……

Then we went to the insectarium and butterfly house.

099

Gives me the chills.  i wouldn’t want to be in there.

These poisonous tree frogs were really neat and pretty.  Of course, attracting their prey.

 106

111

We saw them eat.  A boy came out and dumped a million (it seemed) little white baby crickets in their habitat and they gobbled them all up really fast.  That’s what the little white flakes are on the ground.

103

Ant tunnels.  What your yard looks like underneath!

116

ahhhh, its so much more prettier and Mommy’s style in here!

119 123

We left the beautiful place to check out a smelly farm animal place where we met, Bessie, the cow….

127 128

and here’s Bessie scratching an itch!

144 146

This was pretty cool.  It started out a big Earth and the more you turn the more you can pinpoint and zoom in.  Brad was loving this big GPS.  There’s our house!

151

Bradley made it to the top of the Mountains and before we left, Brad found his Beat! Good thing, I was wondering where it was?

153

There was so much more fun and learning that I couldn’t capture it all.  Most of all Bradley loved it and we had a great family day!

BQOTD and Bible Verse

“Mommy, when are we leaving this freakin’ house?”

I hid my head behind the wall and laughed for a second then lectured him on being thankful for what we have and do.  This is why my family needs bible verses, ha!   I just downloaded this where I just click verse of the day and it inserts it for me.  I look forward to reading them and sharing from time to time.  May God bless all your freakin’  days!

August Rush

I can’t believe the first week in August has come and past.  I feel like it will keep flying by.  Here are just some cute pictures of the boys from this week and yesterday, Saturday, was jam packed. August is rushing by so I have a lot to share.  My mom and I drove 2 hours to Charlotte, stayed 3 hours for a bridal shower, then drove home 2 hours for me to jump in the car again with Brad and the boys and go to a birthday party.  This morning Brad left for training and my mom is still hanging out.  We went to church, bought fresh farm produce and Gavin enjoyed his first ice cream come.

The birthday kids, Madeleine and Jason turned 3 and 1.  The red icing was so worth it.  I’m not going to be scared of a color for Gavin’s 1st!

132   I love it when they hover all around Daddy and not me for a change!

141

Then we went to the Log Cabin store for local grown fruit and Bradley found Drums.  Making Daddy proud rocking out!
