So the Thursday before New Years we traveled to Maryland with our 3 kiddos for our first family road trip. The traveling went pretty good. Easton was great but it was Gavin that was the cry baby. I guess he is at that age that he hates being strapped into his car seat for too long. We went to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. My grandma had her Christmas gathering on New Years Day instead so everyone could do their own thing on Christmas since we all have our own little growing families now. On Thursday evening we met up with Mimi and Dunka where they are living now and had dinner and hung out, but I didn't take any pictures :( Then we went to my grandmas house so here is our trip in pictures and captions!!
Friday morning waking up to Pancakes with Christmas sprinkles made by Grammy!
We went to my Dad’s house next. Known as GrandPoP and Grandma Kris to the boys. Here is Easton at 2 weeks old and weighing 10 pounds already!
Meeting their newest Grandson
Its not often Gavin sits with me anymore so I had to document it. He is always on the go these days!
Aunt Joanie with the newest red head!
Gavin learning what Football is all about!
Our attempt to get a picture of boys with them. We were missing the girls that day, Aubrey and Olivia!
Jackson loves all his little cousins.
Ok, so here is what we have found with the downfall of having the boys so close together. I cant get a picture of just the three of them. Bradley can not hold both of them on his own! He used to hold Gavin but now he has to hold Easton and Gavin just runs off. Here is our attempt of just the boy grandkids.
This is Bradley’s new smile for the camera face. Lovely right…ha-ha! I bet he will laugh at this one day when he’s older. This was his cool gift from POp and Grandma. He loves it and calls it his “video bike.”
Now, we are back at Grandmas house (G.G.’s) on Saturday, New Years Day!
My cousin Jenn with her daughters Allison and Katelyn
Bradley gravitated right to Aubrey. They are at the perfect age to make best cousins for a lifetime. It’s like they never missed a beat being away from each other.
Group Picture.
All of G.G.’s great grandchildren. She knows she is blessed!
Later that night after dinner everyone made build-a-bears that Joanie had bought for each kid. All the Dad’s sewed a bear. It was so sweet and so hilarious for us to see them sewing bears! They did great though, we were very impressed.
Andrew trying to help Nathan.
Brad is still threading the needle. Later he said that he was struggling because my Grandma put tons of Bailey’s in his Irish coffee!
Sharing a late night cookie snack!
Once we got home from our trip the boys got into playing with all their toys.
Batman Bradley!
All cleaned up and cozy. There’s no place like home after traveling! We survived but I am not going to lie. It was a lot of work for Brad and I to juggle all three kids. It is always harder when you aren’t in your own house but then throw in a 2 week old and sleep exhaustion makes it even harder. We are glad we did it though and I know our families were glad too. We had a wonderful time making more family memories!
Happy NEW YEARS 2011!
