Bradley, Gavin and Easton have a really wonderful Daddy. He is all rough and tough so it seems but really he wears many hats as their Daddy and that makes him special to us! We love him and our thankful for who he is and for his love to his family. We have been blessed to have him home with us more now so he has really let his true Fatherhood step out and step up. God made the best daddy for these three boys and mommy is proud of the father he has become!
He is nurturing.
He is very playful and silly.
He holds us when we are in need, gives us warmth when we are cold.
He teaches us the things we need to know.
He fly’s airplanes with us!
He helps us climb hills.
He protects us so we don’t get hurt.
He carries us to new heights so we can dream big.
He smiles and adores us.
He is our doctor when we are sick.
He picks us up and brushes us off after we fall.
He puts us down on solid ground when we are ready.
He is strong so he can swing us higher than Mommy.
He gives great hugs.
He pretends he isn’t faster than us.
He is a lover and cuddler and makes us feel safe in his arms.
He reaches out his hand to help us.
He doesn’t let things slide so we always know where we stand.
He gives us little pushes when we need encouraging.
He wrestles and play fights with us to make us tough.
He is selfless because he lets us take his things.
He provides for us so we can do so many different things.
He dresses us. He even changes stinky diapers!
He brushes our hair too.
He is our soft pillow when we need him to be.
He tickles us to pieces.
He teaches us the thrill of adventure.
He celebrates US so today we celebrate HIM. Our Daddy, Our Friend and the man we HONOR. We value, appreciate and love our Daddy so much.
Today we didn’t go overboard with gifts and instead worked more of the food angle. Bradley and I made Brad’s favorite breakfast burritos for breakfast. Bradley set the table for him and put his card out.
Then I also had this sign made for him and intended to have it hung on the wall for when he woke up but I forgot to get the right tape or string and hangers and when I realized, I didn’t have enough time. We plan to hang it up every year as a tradition and so when the boys get older we have this to remember of them little. I am a big banner person when it comes to holidays. A tradition I appreciated my mother doing for me. It says, “Happy Fathers Day to the best Dad ever”
For dinner we made Brad’s favorite chili in the crock pot and Bradley helped me do that too! Our bellies are full over here!
Happy Fathers Day! Love, Bradley, Gavin & Easton
( and from Mommy too)
