A Baby Shower for Laura

My friend Laura is having her second child soon.  We know her and her family from back in Maryland and since it is such a small world we ended up living in the same tiny town.  Her daughter Jordan is the same age as Bradley.  Now they are so proud to soon welcome a baby BOY into their family.  I think daddy Derek and everyone may be getting a little overwhelmed with princesses and pink and are glad God is allowing them to switch it up a bit.  What a blessing to be a part of this shower and to know this women and her wonderful family. 

I was one of the shower hostesses and I took care of the theme and all the decorations, games and things like that.  It was last Sunday, December 4th, here are all the pictures.  The theme was Peanut Love.  The baby being their little peanut of course!

Animal Gestation Game.  Even though it was hard, all her guests were really laughing.

 

I even made a paper mobile that said “Baby Boy Markey” on it.  In my spare time ;)

 

We played the Telephone game and this was her mom whispering to her at the end that “Laura will have a 10 lb, 12 oz boy that comes out smoking a cigar!” As the game works, it did get messed up and at the end it had turned into, she would have a 10 month boy instead of pound boy.  That one word makes a big difference!! Sure hope her baby isn’t either size.

 

 

 

She is such a sweet and glowing pregnant women and I wish her all the best for her and her little peanut!
