Today we went to a Christmas brunch hosted by our MOPS group. It was their fundraiser so it was nice to support them while letting the kids enjoy some holiday fun. Killing two birds with one stone is always nice. It was a rough morning but when I got the email with my pictures I did smile, imperfect and all. I thought they would turn out worse, just as bad as I felt my morning was. The kids were all awful getting ready to go. The kind of mornings where I kept throwing idle threats at Bradley that he wouldn’t go see Santa if he didn’t listen. However, who was I kidding because I couldn’t dare really prove my point by snatching Santa away from him. We ended up making it there all in one piece and the tears had subsided when I realized I didn’t charge my battery to my camera. They did have a photographer that you could pay luckily, so I did. What happened next was Easton started crying when I put him on Santa’s lap. Easton? I don’t know what came over him. He is the easy going one. I thought for sure it would be Gavin if anyone got scared and intimidated by the jolly man with the white beard. After the pictures we did some crafts and then the kids were running around like crazy because I wanted to wait for a silly raffle drawing and then just as they were ready to announce I realized I had NO clue where Bradley was. He was just playing tag in the hallway with Sophia and Ashley. So all that waiting and keeping Gavin away from taking everyone’s brunch from their plates to hear the raffle was for nothing because I missed the numbers since I was looking for Bradley. I probably didn’t win because why would I be so lucky after the morning I was having? However, I really don’t know because they probably just drew another number when no one claimed that ticket. Oh, I did find Bradley! Yes, that is a relevant point to this story. Don’t worry, he is home with me. Although the idea of leaving him in church wouldn’t be a bad one. He is all around a good boy but some more Jesus wouldn’t hurt. They were off in a partitioned room but the point was he didn’t tell me or anyone where he was going, or ask if he could go and let me remind you of when he was two and he hid from me in this very same church!! I remember I felt like the worse mother in the world for losing my child that day. Today I wasn’t panicky but he is getting a little too adventurous these days and I don’t like it. He knows better and forgot to tell me where he was going. So, the way home ended in tears just the same as the morning had begun in tears. The day did get better once all three of them took a 3 and a half hour nap at the same time :) Bradley, Daddy and I just got finished watching the Grinch who Stole Christmas so that was fun and the first time he has seen it. He really liked it and he asked like 50 questions.
So, Santa, what I want for Christmas is some more of those same time, all three, 3 hour naps! Can you make that happen? If so, I will always believe! I know the boys will always be pushing their way into the naughty list and asking for perfect children is a lost cause even Santa can’t make happen. The naps will have to do, that is my wish. Oh and don’t forget Bradley wants a Batman batcave and a large Spiderman motorcycle ;)

Great pictures...and awesome job getting them to all look at the same time! I can't ever seem to get all 3 to cooperate in one picture. I never realized how hard that could be til now = ) Hope you are enjoying the holidays with your family...craziness and all!
