2 steps forward…
Gavin took his first steps yesterday!! I wasn’t sure but I confirmed with Brad and what I saw was it. It is just the beginning but there is no going back from here. He is on the move and we are so proud of our little chunky boy! I thought I was just going to report a picture of him standing on his own (below) but then yesterday he surprised me and took two steps from the toilet (I know) to the bathtub. It was bath time and I was starting the water so I didn’t get a photo. He has taken a few more steps to show Daddy later that night since he didn’t see the first ones. Brad was just in the other room but Gavin has been trying so hard lately, but falls, and it is so hard to contemplate that this time, will be the ONE. Well, Last night was the ONE or should I say TWO!
Lake Palooza
We ended the summer with a week long stay at the family lake house. I have so many pictures to share because the memories made I never want to forget. We all really cherished the time to be with Billy’s (Brad’s brother) family because the visits aren’t always this long and the kids are such close cousins for living so far away. So, here we go….
Giving Bella and Madelyn their summer birthday gifts from us!
Everything they got was from our trip to Disney World so they loved that!
Madelyn’s face lit up when she saw Cinderella!
What Devon has to look forward to now that she has her sweet baby boy!
This is what the kids did when they were waiting for the adults.
Naked Play is always fun! This is what happens when I can’t get him to sit still to get dressed.
Wink, Wink, My Auntie Em is Cool!
This is what Grandad did, held his great grandbabies.
The rain did not stop these kids from dancing…..
Loving the lake with a cherry on top!
New to the lake house adventures is Kayaking. Which already has funny stories behind it. Lets just say I need remedial boat training!
There’s no shame in our game with our rings and ducky!
Watching Uncle Brad to Jet Ski tricks, like this…..
Bella and Madelyn, perfect sisters!
Brad on the rope swing. I got a picture this time even though its very far away. Maybe one day I will be able to do this.
We celebrated Bella’s Birthday while there.
**Happy 7th Birthday Isabella **
The girls loved hanging with Uncle Brad.
We caught Bradley and Madelyn holding hands eating their PB&J lunch on the dock. They are about 6 months apart and they love each other. Bradley wouldn’t do anything unless Madelyn was going to with him. We had to explain to them they were cousins and couldn’t marry each other one day, haha!
Holden showing Uncle Brad his strong grip.
Devon and I exhausted between our 5 kids together.
Good Night Lake!
Then Devon and the kids came home with us and the fun continued.
Bella in Bradley’s jeans to ride the dirtbike.
We enjoyed every minute of being with them and hope the time comes soon for it to happen again.
