They asked us to love the fair, so we did! We went on Tuesday after we picked Bradley up from school. He was so excited and I am really thankful for the family experience. Thank you Liz for letting us borrow your Cadillac of a stroller. It was awesome because Easton and Gavin enjoyed sitting in it. Brad’s cousin Johnny also helped us in a big way that day by calling on his cool State Trooper powers and getting us in free of charge, free parking by all the state trooper vehicles and getting us half off the ride ticket prices. Let alone the troopers are right at the gate so we did not have to walk far like others did to get in. It was VIP treatment all the way. So cool! Once he got off duty he met up with us for a few hours that evening. We had so much fun that before we knew it is was dark, it had started to drizzle and it was almost 9pm and the boys were still kicking it with us. Here are the bright & fun pictures from our day…..
Watching Bradley intently!
The kids aren't the only ones who can have fun. The caterpillar ride brought out my wild side, ha! Brad knows I love any of these things and sends me to go on them with the boys. He says he wants to take over when they are older and go on things if they are scared, like their first big roller coaster experience.
I had to get on a lot of the rides with Gavin. Their height limit was pretty tall so if they were under they had to be with an adult the sign said. I couldn’t just send Bradley on there with him like I remember doing at the Ocean City boardwalk rides. I enjoyed getting to ride with both of my big boys.
Bradley and I rode the Ferris Wheel together. He was freaking me out looking over the sides and wanting to stand up.
Three views from the Ferris Wheel. It was a perfect time to go because while we were at the top it had gotten dark out :)
Then we saved a cool one for last. The log water coaster. Where it drops and splashes you. Thankfully not too bad!
That was out adventure at the Raleigh State Fair. I also highly recommend fried Oreos! When they say fried what that really means in the case of what I ate was deep fried in funnel cake batter and it even had the powdered sugar sprinkled on it. It was like a warm gooey Oreo cookie wrapped in funnel cake. You get 7 of them in the bag. I only got 2 I think and Bradley and Gavin inhaled 5 between the two of them.
